The Communications Authority of Kenya (Authority) is the regulatory authority for the ICT industry in Kenya with responsibilities in telecommunications, commerce, cyber security, broadcasting and postal/courier services. CA is also responsible for managing the country’s numbering and frequency spectrum resources as well as safeguarding the interests of users of ICT services.
Pursuant to Section 23 (2) (a) of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, 1998 and Regulation 19 (2) of the Licensing and Quality of Service Regulations, 2010, the Authority has reviewed the Guidelines for Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Internal Communication Infrastructure, 2012 and Guidelines for Supply, Installation and Maintenance of External Communication Infrastructure, 2012.
Stakeholders and members of public are invited to submit inputs and comments to enhance the proposed Guidelines. We make specific request to licensed Telecommunications Contractors and Technical Personnel to review and submit inputs/comments as the proposed Guidelines will directly impact on their operations.
